Oh my where do we start???? Duluth and the North Shore has beautiful locations pretty much every where you look. So how do you decide??? For natives of this area, you probably already have a good idea.
For those of you that are doing a destination wedding in the Duluth area, the North Shore (or where ever it might be stateside) you might be wondering where do you want to be. First and foremost when looking for a location ask yourself these questions:
- Do you want a view of water?
- Do you want sand/rock?
- Do you want to touch water?
- Do you want trees/nature?
- Do you want within a city limit or something more rural?
Of course there will be a lot more questions that have to be answered, but this is a start. Now the answers to these questions will help us help you with location. For couples that are getting married outside of the United States using a Destination Travel Agent will be a great place to start.
To get your imagination going we have quite a few favorite outdoor locations. In the city of Duluth MN alone there is the Rose Garden/Leif Erickson Park, Park Pointe, Canal Park, Brighton Beach, Lester Park and lets remember Enger Tower/Enger Park! I like to recommend to couples to take a look at the virtual tour of the parks in the city. Just click on the hyper link and it will take you there. Have fun with it but keep those questions listed above in mind.
For those of you wanting something a little more rural and willing to drive a little bit there are a lot of interesting places heading up the North Shore. Palisades Head – beautiful and breathtaking but I would recommend for smaller wedding sizes. Gooseberry State Park has two fabulous shelters – Lady Slipper Lodge and Lake Shelter. Oh did I mention there is a gorgeous waterfall? Both of these provide indoor and outdoor options at a reasonable cost. Black Pebble Beach, Gunflint Trail, and the list goes on and on…

Most of all be creative and have fun. We are more than willing to wear hiking boots, bring an umbrella or to suggest locations.
